Best NFL Prop Bets - 9/11/22

NFL Week 1 has arrived! The Buffalo Bills and Los Angeles Rams kicked off the NFL season Thursday, but we’re going to focus on two prop plays in Sunday’s games.

The first one comes from an early game as the Indianapolis Colts head to Houston to take on the Texans at 11 a.m. The second is from an afternoon game in sunny California, where the Los Angeles Chargers host the Las Vegas Raiders at 3:25 p.m.

NFL Player Props for Week 1 2022

Jonathan Taylor, RB, Colts, OVER 97.5 rushing yards (-115)

Mike Williams, WR, Chargers, OVER 57.5 receiving yards (-115)

Jonathan Taylor

Taylor ran for more than 100 yards 10 times in 2021, leading the league with 1,811 rushing yards on the year. He had 14 runs of 20 yards or more and five of 40-plus. In his last game against the Texas on Dec. 5, Taylor averaged 4.5 yards a carry, totaling 143 yards on 32 carries.

The passing game for the Colts was the focus of a lot of offseason talk with Matt Ryan being brought in after the one-year experiment with Carson Wentz under center in Indy. The aerial attack should be improved this season, but that just means bigger holes for Taylor to run through.

Taylor will be fed the ball often as long as the game remains somewhat close, so 100-plus on the ground looks like an inevitability.

Pick: Jonathan Taylor OVER 97.5 rushing yards

Mike Williams

Williams surpassed this total 10 out of 16 games in 2021 and averaged more than 70 yards a game. The Chargers closed out the regular season against the Raiders in January, and Williams had a big day. He caught nine passes for 119 yards and a touchdown.

Williams may not go for over 100 yards Sunday but getting 60-plus shouldn’t be a problem against a Raiders team that was middle of the road against the pass in 2021.

Pick: Mike Williams OVER 57.5 receiving yards
