On Sunday, the Chicago Bears visit Empower Field at Mile High in Denver, Colorado to play the Denver Broncos. The Bears lost to the Green Bay Packers in their opening game of the season 10-3. Both defenses controlled the game as the Bears sacked Aaron Rodgers five times, while Bears quarterback Mitch Trubisky was sacked five times and picked off once in the end zone late in the game. Mike Davis rushed for just 19 yards for Chicago, while rookie David Montgomery had 18.

Denver lost its opening game of the season 24-16 to the Oakland Raiders on Monday Night Football. The Denver offense appeared stagnant as quarterback Joe Flacco was sacked three times and did not score a touchdown until late in the fourth quarter. Flacco finished with 268 yards passing and one touchdown. The Broncos had three scoring drives stopped in the red zone and that resulted in three field goals.

Allen Robinson leads all Chicago receivers with 7 receptions for 102 yards. The leading tackler for the Bears defense is cornerback Kyle Fuller with 6.

Joe Flacco leads the Broncos in passing with 268 yards and one touchdown. The leading rusher for the Broncos is Royce Freeman with 10 carries for 56 yards, while Phillip Lindsay has 11 carries for 43 yards. Courtland Sutton leads the Broncos in receiving with seven receptions for 120 yards. Josey Jewell leads Denver in tackles with 14.

Chicago’s offense struggled in the opening game of the season against Green Bay, but its defense looked very strong in allowing just 10 points to the Packers. Denver’s offense struggled, especially in the red zone with four trips resulting in three field goals and just one touchdown.
