The Baltimore Ravens travel on the road to take on the injury plauged Philadelphia Eagles. Baltimore beat up on the struggling Cincinatti Bengals winning 27-3 and improved to 4-1 on the season, the only loss coming to the defending champion and the favorite to win the Super Bowl in the Kansas City Chiefs. The Eagles fell on the road to the Steelers losing 38-29 and dropping to 1-3-1 on the season.

Baltimore and reigning MVP Lamar Jackson have opened the season by averaging 29.8 points per game ranking 9th in scoring offense and rank 3rd in rushing offense averaging 160.8 yards per game. Jackson leads the team in rushing as well as coming along nicely as a passer, completing 63.7% of his passes this season for 949 yards and 9 touchdowns to just 2 interceptions. He’s added 238 yards and a touchdown on the ground.

Lamar has the benefit of three solid runningbacks behind him. led by Mark Ingram who has rushed for 205 yards and two touchdowns this season. He also has a solid receiver in Marquise Brown who has reeled in 22 passes for 319 yards and a touchdown and a redzone savant in Mark Andrews. Andrews has reeled in 5 touchdowns for 222 yards already this season.

Carson Wentz and the Eagles offense have struggled to move or score the ball this season coming in averaging 322.4 total yards ranking 28th in total offense and 23rd in scoring offense averaging 22.6 points per game. Wentz has looked like a shell of himself this year, turning it over at the highest clip of his career with 9 interceptions and 4 fumbles through just 5 games. Wentz has thrown for 1,188 yards and six touchowns, completing 60% of his passes.

With the injuries to key skill players for the Eagles such as Desean Jackson, Alshon Jeffery and Dallas Goedert; Philadelphia has been forced to look to runningback Miles Sanders to create for there offense. Sanders missed week one with an ankle injury but in his four games is averaging 5.1 yards per carry, has totaled 316 rushing yards, and has found the endzone three times. Wentz has also had to look the way of Travis Fulgham, the UDFA from Old Dominion.  Fulgham has responded by catching 12 passes for 209 yards and two touchdowns.

Philadelphia has allowed 29 points per game ranking 23rd in scoring defense while allowing 355.2 yards per game. Baltimore leads the NFL in scoring defense allowing just 15.2 points per game and is allowing 335 yards per game which ranks the Ravens 7th in total offense.

Baltimore is a force in the AFC this season and have looked dominant all season, outside of the game against Kansas City. With one of the best rushing attacks in the NFL, the Ravens wear down this Eagles defense and should be able to dominate the Eagles on both sides of the ball. The Eagles have lost three key starters to injury this season on offense and now facing off against one of the best defenses in the NFL, this one could get ugly for Philadelphia. Final Score Prediction, Baltimore Ravens win and cover ATS 34-17.
