Baltimore Ravens 2022-23 - NFL Schedule

The Baltimore Ravens finished last in the AFC North in 2021-22 with an overall record of 8-9. Baltimore was 1-5 in division play, 5-4 at home and 3-5 on the road. Baltimore looks to bounce back with a strong effort behind quarterback Lamar Jackson this season. Injuries have plagued the Ravens over the last fews seasons and Baltimore must remain healthy if it hopes to make a deep run into the playoffs.

Last season Lamar Jackson passed for 2,882 yards with 16 touchdowns and 13 interceptions. However, Jackson was 22nd in completion percentage at .644 and his 13 interceptions came in just 13 games. On the ground, Baltimore has a two-headed running attack with JK Dobbins and Gus Edwards, who both did not play last season because of knee injuries. When those two were last healthy, Baltimore had 3,071 rushing yards in 2020. Jackson is the only quarterback in NFL history to rush for 1,000 yards in two different seasons.

Tight end Mark Andrews is the leading receiver. Last season Andrews caught 107 passes for 1,361 yards and nine touchdowns. Last year's second-leading receiver Marquise Brown is no longer with the Ravens but Rashod Bateman is expected to step up after last season catching 46 passes for 515 yards and one touchdown in 12 games.

Baltimore's defense was hurt by injuries last season and slipped to 25th overall which was its lowest rating dating back to 1997. Baltimore allowed 16 plays of 40 yards or more in 2021-22. Baltimore’s defensive line could start without Tyus Bowser who tore his Achilles in the final game last season. However, Odafe Owen played well last season as a rookie with 5.0 sacks. Justin Houston is back after last season making 4.5 quarterback sacks. Calais Campbell re-signed and gives Baltimore a strong presence on the front line.

Patrick Queen is the top linebacker for Baltimore and will play on the weak side, while Josh Bynes is expected to start on the inside. Baltimore's secondary was beefed up with the addition of Marcus Williams and the Ravens drafted safety Kyle Hamilton out of Notre Dame. Chuck Clark will start at strong safety. Cornerback Marcus Peters missed all of last season and Marlon Humphrey played in just 12 of 17 games but both are expected to be healthy to start the season.
