Week 10 features a match-up of disappointing teams, as the Atlanta Falcons travel to Raymond James Stadium to take on the Tampa Bay Buccaneers.

Atlanta will be playing their first game since their collapse in London against the Detroit Lions. The Falcons led 21-0 at halftime, but a 48 yard field goal by Matt Prater as time expired gave the Lions an improbable 22-21 victory. With a 21-19 lead, Atlanta should have been able to run out the clock but a holding penalty and a Julio Jones drop stopped the clock twice. The Falcons only managed to gain 213 yards through the air on the day.

Through eight games, Atlanta ranks 7th in passing offense, 25th in rushing offense, and 15th in scoring offense at 24 points per game.
The Tampa Bay Buccaneers have been more competitive over the last two games but can’t seem to get over the hump. Two weeks ago, the Buccaneers lost 19-13 at home in overtime when they fumbled and Minnesota’s defense returned it for the game winning score. In week 9, Tampa lost 22-17 on the road in Cleveland. The Buccaneers have now lost four straight and are desperate to get a win in front of their home crowd. Rookie WR Mike Evans was spectacular last week, catching 7 passes for 124 yards and two touchdowns.

Evans play could be a boost to an offense that ranks 26th in passing offense, 29th in rushing offense, and 26th in scoring offense at 18.8 points per game.

This game features the two worst statistical defenses in the NFL. Atlanta ranks 32nd in total defense and 28th in scoring defense at 27.6 points per game. Tampa Bay ranks 31st in total defense and 32nd in scoring defense at 30.6 points per game.

Free NFL Pick:

Tampa Bay Bucs +1

Atlanta has the better offense, but I am not sure how they will respond after the loss in London. That loss pretty much ended their postseason hopes. Tampa Bay is playing better, so I am going to recommend leaning with the home side. Final Score Prediction, Tampa Bay Buccaneers win and cover ATS 27-24.
