Last Updated: 10/18/2021 at 12:46 PM ET

The Atlanta Falcons look for a second consecutive victory on Sunday when visiting the Miami Dolphins. Atlanta had a bye in Week 6 and defeated the New York Jets 27-20 in Week 5. The Falcons are 2-3 and have won two of the last three with a loss to Washington mixed in. In Atlanta's victory over New York, the Falcons gained 450 yards of total offense and held the Jets to just 230 yards of total offense.

Matt Ryan has passed for 1,332 yards with 10 touchdowns and three interceptions. The Falcons signal-caller has been sacked eight times. Mike Davis is the leading rusher with 204 yards and one touchdown and the leading receiver is Kyle Pitts with 308 yards and one touchdown reception. On defense, linebacker Foyesade Oluokun is the leading tackler with 48 and three players for the Falcons each have 2.0 quarterback sacks.

The Miami Dolphins are in a world of hurt. Miami is 1-5 following a 23-20 loss to the Jacksonville Jaguars on Sunday. Miami opened the season with a victory over the New England Patriots but has lost each of its last five. Miami is having problems on both offense and defense as the Dolphins are scoring an average of only 16.5 points per game which is 29th in the NFL and Miami is allowing an average of 29.5 points per game which is tied for 30th.

Tua Tagovailoa has passed for 544 yards with three touchdowns and two interceptions. The Miami signal-caller has been sacked four times. Myles Gaskin has rushed for a team-high 176 yards and the leading receiver is Mike Gesicki with 342 yards and one touchdown reception. On defense, linebacker Jerome Baker is the leading tackler with 42 and defensive end Emmanuel Ogbah is the leader in quarterback sacks with 2.5.

Atlanta will be well rested as the Falcons are coming off a bye week and have won two of their last three, while Miami is struggling on both sides of the ball as the Dolphins have lost five straight and are 29th in scoring average and 30th in points allowed. Miami has failed to cover the number in four of its last five, while Atlanta has covered the number in nine of the last 12 when playing against an opponent that has a losing record. Final Score Prediction, Atlanta Falcons win and cover ATS 24-20.
