Atlanta Falcons at Buffalo Bills 1/2/22 - NFL Picks & Predictions

Last Updated: 12/27/2021 at 1:59 PM ET

Highmark Stadium will play host to a Sunday NFL clash between the Atlanta Falcons and the Buffalo Bills. The Falcons (7-8) have won five of their eight road games and would be eliminated from postseason contention with a loss in this road tilt. On Sunday, Atlanta LB Foye Oluokun intercepted a pass in the final minute to preserve a 20-16 home victory versus Detroit.

TE Hayden Hurst caught a 12-yard touchdown pass from Matt Ryan to give Atlanta a 20-13 lead in the fourth quarter. Rookie TE Kyle Pitts contributed six catches for 102 yards.

The Buffalo Bills have won consecutive games and currently have a 97 percent chance of making the playoffs. On Sunday, Buffalo put themselves in the driver’s seat to win the AFC East Division title with a 33-21 road triumph against New England. The Bills (9-6) outgained the Patriots by a 428-288 margin and forced two turnovers on the afternoon.

Buffalo QB Josh Allen threw for 314 yards and three touchdowns to go along with a team-high 64 rushing yards. Isaiah McKenzie hauled in 11 passes for 125 yards and a score for the Bills.

Buffalo WR Cole Beasley (COVID protocols) did not play in Sunday’s victory and his status for this game is uncertain. The Bills can wrap up the division title with two victories to conclude the season. Buffalo will win at home, but I like Atlanta to cover. Final Score Prediction, Buffalo Bills win 27-17.
