Atlanta Falcons - 2022 NFL Season Preview and Wins Total Prediction

The Atlanta Falcons come into the 2022 season in shambles trying to avoid a fifth straight losing year. 2022 will be the first time in more than a decade Matt Ryan will not be under center as Atlanta traded away the former MVP looking to rebuild the roster. The coaching staff and veterans will be relied on heavily for Atlanta to have any hope this season.

Marcus Mariota will be in the limelight immediately this season as the quarterback signed to replace Matt Ryan. Mariota Will be leaned on heavily as tight end Kyle Pitts is the only real weapon as wide receiver Calvin Ridley will serve a full season suspension this year.

Offensively Atlanta will look to the 8th overall pick Drake London to fill the void at the receiver spot. Swiss army knife Cordarrelle Patterson will be the primary target and ball carrier for Atlanta with his capabilities to play multiple positions.

Defensively the Falcons will continue to have their issues but the resigning’s of linebacker Rashaan Evans and cornerback Casey Hayward will provide some veteran leadership for Atlanta. Rookies Arnold Ebiketie and linebacker Troy Anderson are expected to have immediate impacts on the Atlanta defense.
