Arizona Cardinals - 2021 NFL Season Preview & Win Total Predictions

The coaching choices last year for the Cardinals ended up leaving some people scratching their heads. Last year the Cardinals finished at 8-8 on the year and now is going to have to improve. The one thing that really has people looking to a potential new coach is the way that Kliff Kingsbury has handled Murray last year.

Offensively the Cardinals have a great quarterback with a lot of potential in Kyler Murray. Murray looked impressive last year, but is more of a movement passer or a tuck and run quarterback. Now, one thing that will definitely have some problems is the fact that the Cardinals allowed Kenyan Drake to leave the team and is handing the starting job to Chase Edmonds who has not proven himself in 4 years. The receivers for the Cardinals will look great with DeAndre Hopkins to lead the team. The line could have some question marks with the loss of the starting center last year and the fact that it is integral for good exchanges to have continuity.

Defensively Arizona could have issues. The Cardinals have added some depth, but the depth that has been added is not really at the same level of talent that most teams have in their backup positions. Now, what else could make it difficult is the fact that the defensive line did not provide much in the way of a rush last year and this year did not make the jump up to more stars outside of the backups. 

At the special teams the kicking and long snappers position definitely has years of experience. The most youthful player in the position is Aaron Brewer the long snapper who has been in the league for 10 years. Matt Prater was signed away from Detroit and that could help the Cardinals out, but it is questionable how much leg is left in the 14 year veteran.
