49ers at Buccaneers 9/8/19 - NFL Picks & Predictions

The 49ers are a team that had a very impressive preseason, but ended up losing the last game to prevent them from going unbeaten. However, in all the games except one the 49ers offense was able to put in over 20 points a game. The defense, was the impressive part as the defense kept the opponents under 20 points a game, but the last game when the Chargers ended up getting 27 points.

Jimmy Garoppolo is coming back this year to guide the 49ers. However, the injury bug has already hit the offense of the 49ers this year as Dante Pettis, the receiver is listed as questionable and Trent Taylor is doubtful. Weston Richburg the center is already listed as questionable as well. Nick Bosa, the rush end for the 49ers is listed as questionable and that could really take a big chunk out of the 49ers defense.

While the Buccaneers are coming into this game as the favorite it has to come from the fact the 49ers have injuries. The Buccaneers in the preseason did win 3 games, but the downside is they were extremely low scoring games and that will make it difficult for the Bucs to have a catch up type of offense on the field at any given time.

Jameis Winston is lucky the Buccaneers do not have a lot of talent at the quarterback position as he is listed as the starter on the year. However, one of his favorite targets in Mike Evans is listed as questionable and that could lead to Winston pushing quite a bit to make some plays or even handing off to Peyton Barber more than what he normally would. The defense for the Buccaneers is already injured and to make matters worse the Buccaneers backups for quite a few positions are banged up as well, which definitely makes it harder for the Bucs to slow down the opponent.
