2020 Pittsburgh Steelers Preview - NFL Picks & Predictions

The Steelers are getting older and did not really make the changes that were expected or thought of. However, the Steelers are starting to fit the injury bug here and that can make a difference for the team as well. Look for the Steelers to come into the year here and have to avoid the injury bug to be good, but even then the Pittsburgh team could have some issues.

The offense for Pittsburgh is one that could look good at times. The Steelers should have Roethlisberger back this year, if he can avoid the injury bug. If not Mason Rudolph is a good backup and could help out quite a bit. The running back position is definitely settled with James Conner, but the wide out positions are not that deep with Smith-Schuster being the leader for the position and outside of him the depth is fairly lacking.

Defense is one aspect that Pittsburgh is known for and could potentially come out playing great at this year. The Steelers, though, like teams of old from Pittsburgh do not have any of the bigger name players that would be known as being the players that could dominate the play. However, this also gives the Steelers a good chance to become a well rounded team, compared to relying on a single player.

Special teams for Pittsburgh could be good, but it really depends which one of the kicking personalities that Boswell has comes to the field on any given game day. He has played good, but he still has not really been able to come up and play as good as what the team would expect and he does not have anyone to challenge him for the position in camp.
