The passing game has become a key for all NFL teams, thus making it important for all defenses to have a strong set of cornerbacks. Jeff Okudah played his college football with the Ohio State Buckeyes. The 6-foot-1 205-pound cornerback ran a 4.48 40-yard dash at the NFL combine. Okudah has the talent to prevent any separation by an opposing receiver combining a combination of athleticism, size, speed and uncanny instincts. Okudah had 35 tackles and nine broken-up passes while also making three interceptions in 2019.

Former Florida Gator star CJ Anderson is expected to be one of the top cornerbacks chosen in the draft. In 2019 with the Gators, Anderson posted 33 tackles and 11 passes broken up. Anderson combines solid size and speed allowing him to cover both big receivers as well as deep threats. The former Gators star is able to turn his hips quickly and run vertically with the quickest wide receivers.

Trevon Diggs played his college football with the Alabama Crimson Tide. The 6-foot-1 205-pound cornerback ran a 4.50 40-yard dash at the combine.  If the talented Diggs has a downside, it's the injuries he has suffered throughout his career with the Crimson Tide. However, when healthy his size and speed will allow him to be a starter on the outside in the NFL. Diggs had 37 tackles, eight defended passes and three interceptions in 2019 with Alabama.

Damon Arnette is another former member of the Ohio State Buckeyes defensive secondary that will be selected early in the draft. The 6-foot 195-lb Arnette ran a 4.56 40-yard dash at the combine. In 2019, Arnette posted 35 tackles, eight passes broken up with one interception. Arnette is physical, very competitive and does not allow any opposing receiver to make an easy reception.

Former LSU Tigers standout Kristian Fulton is expected to be selected between the first and second round of the draft. The 6-foot 197-pound Fulton ran a strong  4.46 40-yard dash at the combine. In 2019, Fulton made 32 tackles and defended 13 passes with one interception. Fulton's speed allows the cornerback to prevent separation by receivers and that is one of the biggest reasons the cornerback is expected to be chosen in the first two rounds of the draft.

The cornerback position has a solid crop of prospects in the 2020 NFL draft. The top pick in the NFL draft at cornerback will be Jeff Okudah. The former Ohio State Buckeye standout uses his length and speed to cover wide receivers and also has a keen ability to jam receivers at the line of scrimmage. In addition to his talent in coverage, Okudah is a solid tackler and willing to run defend. Okudah will be the first cornerback selected and one of the top15 picks overall in the draft.
