The center is not only the cornerstone of the offensive line, but touches the football more than any other player on the field. The 2020 NFL Draft has a solid lineup of centers with former Wisconsin Badgers center Tyler Biadasz considered the most talented. The 6-foot-4 314-pound Biadasz ran a 5.20 40-yard dash at the NFL combine. During the 2019 season, Biadasz sustained blocks on running plays, handled opposing pass rushers one-on-one and showed strong athleticism and quickness pulling on outside the tackle running plays. Biadasz is expected to play early and often as a rookie.

Matt Hennessy played college football for the Temple Owls. The 6-foot-4 307-pound Hennessy ran a 5.18 40-yard dash at the NFL combine. During the 2019 season, Hennessey missed some time on the playing field due to a concussion and had one more year of eligibility but decided to opt for the NFL draft.  Hennessy’s attributes are his size, quickness and strength and is expected to eventually be a starter at the next level.

Lloyd Cushenberry III played college ball for the LSU Tigers. The 6-foot-3 312-pound Cushenberry III ran a 5.27 40-yard dash at the NFL combine. The former LSU center is expected to be drafted during the mid rounds. Cushenberry's strengths are his solid blocking both on the ground game and in pass protection but struggled during his Senior Bowl appearance while blocking one-on-one.

Cesar Ruiz played his college ball for the Michigan Wolverines. The 6-foot-3 307-pound Ruiz ran a 5.08 40-yard dash at the NFL combine. Ruiz opted to enter the NFL draft even though he had his senior year of eligibility left. Ruiz is strong at both blocking in the ground game and in pass protection. The former Michigan offensive lineman started all three years for the Wolverines and is expected to eventually become a starter in the NFL

Jake Hanson played his college football with the Oregon Ducks. The 6-foot-4 304-pound center ran a 5.50 40-yard dash at the NFL combine. During the 2019 season, Hanson was solid on the offensive line in run blocking and pass protection and is expected to begin his NFL career as a backup at either center or guard and eventually become a starter at one of those two positions. Hanson’s performance at the NFL combine impressed several teams and is expected to be drafted between the third and fifth round.

Centers take a beating on the offensive line as they are always one split-second behind a rushing defensive lineman due to snapping the ball. Matt Hennessy not only has great size, strength, quickness and athleticism but has practiced at both tackle and guard as well and could begin his NFL career as a backup at any one of three positions on the offensive line. Hennessy is expected to be a starting center early in his NFL career and will be the first center picked in the draft.
