2020 New York Jets Preview - NFL Picks & Predictions

The Jets are looking to move up on the year as the Patriots are a team that look like they could really be in trouble this season. The Jets have a strong roster and an offense that is coming in intact for the most part. The defense for the Jets has not changed much and the way the Jets season goes actually depends on how well Darnold does for the Jets this season.

The Jets offense is led by Sam Darnold and he has been a decent quarterback for the Jets, but still makes some stupid mistakes. However, one thing that Darnold has been able to do is play great under pressure in most cases. With the running back the Jets are fairly stable with Le’Veon Bell getting a chance to carry the ball most of the time and if he needs spelled the Jets have Frank Gore on the roster as well.

Defensively the Jets are coming in without making much in the way of major changes to the lineup. However, one player that the Jets defense is going to be looking at to step up and lead the team is C.J. Mosely who has done really well for the Jets. However, if the quarterback gets a lot of time in the pocket the Jets could be in trouble.

Special teams could make a difference for the Jets in flipping the field to getting the last minute field goal. The downside is the Jets do not have the power special teams game and that could definitely hurt their chances coming into the games that are close or need to have some type of clutch moment at the end of the game.
