2020 Indianapolis Colts Preview - NFL Picks & Predictions

The Colts will be looking to a revamped offense with a true starting quarterback to make the difference for the year. The Colts last year lost Luck right as the season was getting ready to start and without Luck to lead the team the offense looked a little bit out of place. That added extra pressure onto the defensive side of the ball, which did good, but did not completely control the game as expected.

During the off season the Colts brought in a great quarterback that has experience in the bigger games and could help to restart the offense. That quarterback is none other than Philip Rivers from the Chargers. Now, it will be interesting to see if he is able to hook up nicely with T.Y. Hilton or if he will end up missing out on the passes at times, but Mack could help shoulder some of the load as he did good rushing last year.

This year the Colts are going to mainly hope that the offense with the new quarterback is able to help alleviate some of the pressure off of the defense. Yes, the Colts have a good defense that does not have any of the bigger names, the Colts do have a talented group of players that could help the team in getting the opponents offenses contained at times, but not all the time.

The special teams for the Colts is going to look decent with Rigoberto Sanchez able to come into the season here with a good leg that can flip the field. Chase McLaughlin is coming into the season as the kicker and he could potentially get a good chance to win the game for the Colts, but even then he could be challenged as he did miss some big kicks to cost the Colts some games.
