2020 AFC East Preview - NFL Betting Odds, Picks & Predictions

The AFC East is almost wide open for the taking now that Tom Brady has left the division. What else helps the other teams out is the fact that the Patriots did not even suspect that Brady would be leaving so anyone who would be manning the quarterback position for the Patriots would be coming in without a lot of the experience that Brady had gained for the Patriots over the past few seasons. Now, the power void in New England leaves the division wide open.

Miami is one team that may not be able to come into the division as strong as they would like. Some of that comes from the fact that the Dolphins are a team that looks like they are in a rebuilding process. With that being the case, the Dolphins are a team that will not really be that competitive, but should be able to do a little bit better than what they did last season.

New York is looking to a revamped offense to potentially lead the team, but the defense for the Jets is not that good of a team and have had a lot of problems in keeping the opponents in check. Look for that to continue to be the case this year for the Jets, but the offense is definitely shored up quite a bit compared to what the Jets have been in the past and with the addition of a big offensive tackle the Jets should be able to protect Darnold better.

New England will look completely different this year and with the loss of Brady along with other key players it will be difficult for the Patriots to really be seen as a team that will be competitive, but the offense will not really be able to play as good as what it did before. Look for the Patriots to play good, but the Patriots are definitely not the team to win the division.
