Wizards at Trail Blazers 3/4/20 - NBA Picks & Predictions

The Washington Wizards conclude a road back-to-back Wednesday when visiting the Portland Trail Blazers after playing the Sacramento Kings on Tuesday. Washington improved to 22-37 following its 124-110 victory over the Golden State Warriors on Sunday. Bradley Beal continued his scoring outburst as the Wizards’ star scored 34 points in the victory.

Bradley Beal is leading Washington in scoring and assists with averages of 30.4 points and 6.1 assists per game, while Troy Brown Jr.  is the leading rebounder for the Wizards with an average of 5.3 per game. Davis Bertans is the second leading scorer for Washington with an average of 15.1 points per game. Washington has eight players averaging double-figures in scoring.

Portland looks for its second straight victory on Wednesday when hosting the Washington Wizards at the Moda Center. The Trailblazers improved to 27-35 following a 130-107 victory on Monday over the Orlando Magic. CJ McCollum was the leading scorer for Portland with 41 points while Gary Trent Jr. chipped in with 24 points for the Trail Blazers.

Damian Lillard remains sideline but leads Portland in scoring and assists with averages of 29.5 points and 7.9 rebounds per game, while CJ McCollum is the second leading scorer with an average of 22.5 points per game. Hassan Whiteside is the third leading scorer and leading rebounder for Portland with averages of 16.0 points and 14.2 rebounds per game.

Portland remains without its star guard Damian Lillard who is out with an injury, but CJ McCollum, Carmelo Anthony and Gary Trent Jr. have picked up the slack in Lillard's absence. The Trail Blazers have failed to cover six of their last eight overall while Washington has covered each of his last five. Portland will take the victory and Washington will cover the number.
