Wizards at Raptors 1/17/20 - NBA Picks & Predictions

The Friday NBA schedule will tip-off with a matchup between the Washington Wizards and the Toronto Raptors from Scotiabank Arena. The Wizards (13-27) have dropped consecutive games and rank last in the league in points allowed (119.8 ppg). On Wednesday, Washington was outscored by 14 points during the second half of a 115-106 road loss against Chicago.

All-Star G Bradley Beal tallied a team-high 23 points on 8-for-13 shooting and dished out four assists. Davis Bertans added 12 points and five rebounds off the Washington bench.

The Toronto Raptors have won 14 of their 21 home games and are currently in fourth place in the Eastern Conference standings. On Wednesday, Toronto exploded for 73 points over the first 24 minutes of a 130-121 road victory against Oklahoma City. The Raptors (26-14) connected on 15-for-27 from long distance and shot 61 percent overall.

Norman Powell led seven Toronto players in double figures with 23 points on a 9-for-11 shooting effort. Kyle Lowry chipped in 17 points and eight assists for the Raptors.

Toronto G Fred VanVleet (right hamstring) did not play in Wednesday’s victory and is listed as questionable for this contest. Both teams can score in bunches, so the over is worth a look. The stronger play is on Washington to keep things close. Final Score Prediction, Toronto Raptors win but doesn't cover ATS 117-114.
