Wizards at Lakers 3/26/19 - NBA Picks & Predictions

The Washington Wizards look to snap a four-game losing streak on Tuesday when they visit the Los Angeles Lakers. The Wizards were defeated by the Miami Heat on Saturday 113-108. Jeff Green led the Wizards in the loss with 25 points, while Thomas Bryant added 17 and Bobby Portis Jr. chipped in with 14. Both Bryant and Portis Jr. each pulled down 11 rebounds.

The Lakers may no longer be in playoff contention, but that does not mean LeBron James has thrown in the towel. James and Kyle Kuzma each scored 29 points to lead the Lakers over the Sacramento Kings 111-106 on Sunday. Kuzma scored 21 of 29 points during a key third quarter. Bradley Beal leads the Wizards in scoring with an average of 25.9 points per game. The leading rebounder is Bobby Portis with an average of 8.4 per game, while Beal is the assists leader with an average of 5.6 per game. The Wizards are shooting 47.0% from the field and 34.6% from three-point territory.

LeBron James leads the Lakers in scoring, rebounding and assists with averages of 27.5 points, 8.6 rebounds and 8.1 assists per game. Kyle Kuzma is the second leading scorer with an average of 18.7 points per game. Five Lakers average double figures in scoring. Los Angeles is shooting 47.3% from the field and 33.1% from three-point territory.

Washington remains with an outside shot at landing the final playoff spot in the Eastern Conference but must nearly win out to do so. Therefore, much more is on line in this matchup for the Wizards. The Lakers may find it hard to “get up” for this game as it means little and is not against a high-profile opponent. Look for a disinterested Lakers squad to lose to the Wizards. Final Score Prediction, Washington Wizards win and cover ATS 120-115.
