Warriors at Raptors 6/2/19 - NBA Playoffs Picks & Predictions

Game Two of the 2019 NBA Finals will take place on Sunday night, when the Golden State Warriors and Toronto Raptors square off from Scotiabank Arena. On Thursday, the defending champs lost for the first time this postseason without Kevin Durant during a 118-109 road loss. Golden State assisted on 29 of their 34 made field goals and shot 44 percent overall. The Warriors converted 29 of their 31 free throw attempts and outrebounded the Raptors by a 47-42 margin.

Golden State G Steph Curry made all 14 of his free throw attempts and finished with a game high 34 points. Draymond Green added 10 points, 10 rebounds, and 10 assists in a losing effort for the Warriors. The Toronto Raptors win 32 of their 41 home games during the regular season and are now 9-2 on their home floor this postseason. In Game One, Toronto built a ten-point halftime lead and never trailed during the second half. The Raptors knocked down 13 of their 33 three-point attempts and shot 51 percent overall. Toronto also held a 24-17 advantage in fast break points and turned the ball over just ten times.

Pascal Siakam converted 11 straight field goal attempts during a stretch on Thursday and finished led Toronto with 32 points. Kawhi Leonard chipped in 23 points and eight rebounds for the Raptors.

Golden State F Kevin Durant (calf) is unlikely to play in this matchup, but is hopeful to return by Game Three of Four. The Warriors always turn up the defensive intensity after a loss and the Raptors rank second in the postseason in defensive efficiency, so the under is my lean on the total. The stronger play is on Golden State to even this series with a road victory. Final Score Prediction, Golden State Warriors win and cover ATS 111-106.
