Warriors at Lakers 4/4/19 - NBA Picks & Predictions

In the second game of a Thursday night NBA on TNT doubleheader, the Golden State Warriors will invade Staples Center to take on the Los Angeles Lakers.

The Warriors have won consecutive games and lead Denver by two full games for the top spot in the Western Conference. Last time out, Golden State built a 16-point halftime lead and cruised to a 116-102 home victory versus Denver. The Warriors outrebounded the Nuggets by a 55-40 margin and shot 54 percent from the field.

Golden State C DeMarcus Cousins tallied a game high 28 points and 13 rebounds in 29 minutes of action. Kevin Durant chipped in 21 points and six rebounds before being ejected. The Los Angeles Lakers are eight games below .500 overall and failed to qualify for the postseason in LeBron James’ first season with the club. On Tuesday, Los Angeles was outscored by 12 points during the third quarter of a 119-103 road loss against Oklahoma City. The Lakers turned the ball over 23 times and were outrebounded by a 60-50 margin.

Los Angeles G Kentavious Caldwell-Pope led all scorers with 23 points on 9-for-16 from the field. Alex Caruso added 15 points and seven assists for the Lakers.

Los Angeles F Kyle Kuzma (foot) did not play on Tuesday and is listed as doubtful for this contest. These two squads rank in the top half of the league in tempo and the Warriors lead the league in offensive efficiency. The over is worth a look, but the stronger play is to take the points. Final Score Prediction, Golden State Warriors win but fall short ATS 118-112.
