In the first game of a Monday night doubleheader on NBA TV, the Utah Jazz will invade the Smoothie King Center to take on the New Orleans Pelicans. The Jazz (27-7) have won 12 of their first 17 road games and lead the Los Angeles Clippers by 3.5 games for the top spot in the Western Conference. On Saturday, Utah shot 53 percent from the field during a 124-109 road triumph against Orlando.

Donovan Mitchell led seven Utah players in double figures with 31 points on 10-for-19 shooting and dished out six assists. Joe Ingles contributed 17 points and seven assists for the Jazz.

The New Orleans Pelicans have dropped consecutive games and trail Denver by four games for eighth place in the Western Conference standings. On Saturday, New Orleans was unable to complete a late rally during a 117-114 road loss against San Antonio. The Pelicans (14-19) outrebounded the Spurs by a 58-49 margin and shot 44 percent from the field.

Brandon Ingram led five New Orleans players in double figures with 29 points on 11-for-23 from the field. All-Star F Zion Williamson added 23 points and 14 rebounds for the Pelicans.

Utah G Mike Conley (hamstring) did not play in Saturday’s victory and will be back in the lineup for this contest. These two teams rank in the top six of the league in offensive efficiency. Take the over. Final Score Prediction, Utah Jazz win but our safest play is on the over total 123-117.
