Utah Jazz at LA Clippers 6/18/21 - NBA Picks & Predictions

Last Updated: 06/17/2021 at 2:37 PM ET

The Utah Jazz will look to stave off elimination when they invade Staples Center to take on the LA Clippers on Friday night. The top-seeded Jazz took the first two games of this series at home, but have dropped three straight. On Wednesday, Utah missed 34 of their 54 three-point attempts and shot 45 percent overall during a disappointing 119-111 home loss.

All five Utah starters scored in double figures and were led by Bojan Bogdanovic with 32 points. All-Star G Donovan Mitchell added 21 points (6-19 FG) to go along with five rebounds and five assists.

The LA Clippers won 26 of their 36 home games during the regular season and have split their six postseason home games. In Game Five, LA outscored Utah 32-18 in the third quarter and made several big plays down the stretch. The Clippers connected on 16-for-40 from the three-point line and shot 51 percent overall.

All-Star F Paul George led all scorers with 37 points on 12-for-22 shooting and pulled down 16 rebounds. Marcus Morris scored 25 points on 10-for-16 shooting and Reggie Jackson chipped in 22 points for the Clippers.

LA F Kawhi Leonard (knee) did not play in Game Five and his status for the rest of the postseason is uncertain. These two teams ranked in the top three in offensive efficiency during the regular season and I expect plenty of points on Friday. Take the over. Final Score Prediction, Utah Jazz win 115-113.
