The Jazz (45-27) are three games above .500 on the road and trail Golden State by 2.5 games for third place in the West. On Monday, Utah was outscored by 14 points during the third quarter of a 114-106 road loss against Brooklyn.
All-Star G Donovan Mitchell tallied a team-high 30 points on 9-for-23 shooting and committed six turnovers. Mike Conley added 18 points and seven assists in a losing effort for the Jazz.
The Boston Celtics are riding a four-game winning streak and have surged into a three-way tie for second place in the East. On Monday, Boston raced out to a 17-point lead after one quarter and cruised to a 132-123 road victory against Oklahoma City. The Celtics (45-28) knocked down 15-for-40 from long distance and shot 51 percent overall.
All-Star F Jayson Tatum led all scorers with 36 points (11-19 FG) to go along with seven rebounds and six assists. Grant Williams contributed 20 points and ten rebounds for the Celtics.
