Trail Blazers at Thunder 4/19/19 - NBA Playoffs Picks & Predictions

In the second game of a Friday night NBA playoff doubleheader on ESPN, the Portland Trail Blazers will visit the Oklahoma City Thunder. The third-seeded Trail Blazers held serve at home, defeating the Thunder by a combined 25 points through the first two games of this best-of-seven first round series. On Tuesday, Portland outscored Oklahoma City by 16 points during the third quarter of a 114-94 victory.

Portland G C.J. McCollum led all scorers with 33 points on 12-for-22 shooting and pulled down eight rebounds. Damian Lillard contributed 29 points and six assists for the Trail Blazers. The Oklahoma City Thunder won five games in a row to close the regular season, but lack the three-point shooting necessary to be successful in the playoffs. In Game Two, Oklahoma City missed 23 of their 28 three-pointers and shot 41 percent overall. The Thunder outrebounded the Trail Blazers by a 60-52 margin and assisted on 21 of their 35 made field goals.

Oklahoma City F Paul George tallied a team high 27 points on 11-for-20 shooting and grabbed eight rebounds. Steven Adams added 16 points and nine rebounds for the Thunder.

Portland C Jusuf Nurkic will miss the entire postseason with a leg injury. The Thunder are the better defensive and rebounding team, but their inability to shoot has been a problem so far in this series. Look for Oklahoma City to shoot well at home and creep back into this series. Final Score Prediction, Oklahoma City Thunder win and cover ATS 117-105.
