Toronto Raptors at Miami Heat 10/24/22 - NBA Picks & Predictions

Eastern Conference foes will run it back on Monday night, when the Toronto Raptors face the Miami Heat from the Ftx Arena. The Raptors (1-2) are one of the most versatile teams in the league and have an elite player in the making in Scottie Barnes. On Saturday, Toronto outscored Miami by 18 points in the second half before falling by a 112-109 final score.

All-Star F Pascal Siakam and Gary Trent Jr. scored 23 points apiece to lead Toronto on a combined 15-for-37 from the field. Precious Achiuwa added 18 points and 11 rebounds off the bench for the Raptors, who trailed by as many as 24 points.

The Miami Heat have made deep postseason runs in two of the last three seasons and have the talent to do it again. The Heat (1-2) ranked fifth in the league in defensive efficiency a season ago and have yet to find their form on that end of the floor. During Saturday’s home victory, Miami exploded for 71 points in the first half. The Heat assisted on 28 of their 48 made field goals and shot 50 percent overall.

All-Star G/F Jimmy Butler led all scorers with 24 points to go along with five assists and four rebounds. Tyler Herro chipped in 14 points and eight rebounds for the Heat, who converted 25-for-27 from the charity stripe.

Toronto F Scottie Barnes is dealing with a right ankle sprain and will remain sidelined for this contest. These two teams got into a scuffle in their previous meeting and we would expect a tightly contested defensive battle in the rematch. Take the under. Final Score Prediction, Miami Heat win 106-103.
