The Monday NBA schedule will tip-off with a matchup between the Minnesota Timberwolves and the Detroit Pistons from the Little Caesars Arena. This will be the second of a back-to-back for Minnesota, who came up just short during a 100-98 overtime loss versus visiting Detroit on Sunday. The Timberwolves outscored the Nuggets by 12 points in the fourth quarter to force overtime and are a game above .500 overall.

Minnesota C Karl-Anthony Towns and F Andrew Wiggins scored 25 points apiece to lead all scorers. Josh Okogie added 17 points and eight rebounds in 36 minutes off the bench.

The Detroit Pistons are two games below .500 overall and expect Blake Griffin (hamstring) to make his season debut in this contest. On Friday, Detroit allowed Indiana to shoot 52 percent from the field during a 112-106 road loss. The Pistons were outscored by 12 points in the second quarter and turned the ball over 17 times on the night.

All five Detroit starters scored in double figures and were led by Luke Kennard with 29 points. Andre Drummond added 15 points to go along with 13 rebounds and eight assists.
