Timberwolves at Magic 2/7/19 - NBA Picks & Predictions

In Thursday night NBA action, the Minnesota Timberwolves will visit the Amway Center to battle the Orlando Magic.

The Timberwolves have dropped consecutive games and trail Los Angeles by four games for the final playoff spot in the Western Conference. On Tuesday, Minnesota lost on a pair of free throws with 0.1 seconds remaining at Memphis. The Timberwolves were outscored by 13 points in the first quarter and turned the ball over 17 times overall.

Minnesota F/C Karl-Anthony Towns led all scorers with 26 points and 18 rebounds. Dario Saric contributed 22 points and seven rebounds for the Timberwolves. The Orlando Magic have dropped seven of their previous ten games and have fallen four games out of playoff contention in the East. On Tuesday, Orlando was torched for 30-plus points in each quarter of a 132-122 road loss against Oklahoma City. The Magic were dominated on the glass by a 64-47 margin and allowed the Thunder to shoot 50 percent from the field.

Terrence Ross talled a team high 26 points on 8-for-18 shooting in 26 minutes off the bench. Aaron Gordon chipped in 18 points and ten assists in a losing effort for the Magic.

Minnesota G Jeff Teague (foot) has been ruled out and Derrick Rose (right ankle soreness) is listed as questionable for this matchup. These two teams rank in the middle of the pack in defensive efficiency, so the over is worth a look. The stronger play is on Orlando to win at home. Final Score Prediction, Orlando Magic win and cover ATS 118-110.
