Timberwolves at Magic 2/28/20 - NBA Picks & Predictions

The Friday NBA schedule will tip-off with a matchup between the Minnesota Timberwolves and the Orlando Magic from the Amway Center. The Timberwolves (17-40) shook up their roster at the trade deadline and are excited about next season. On Wednesday, Minnesota rallied late to score a surprising 129-126 road victory against Miami.

Minnesota G D’Angelo Russell led all scorers with 27 points on 9-for-18 shooting and dished out six assists. Malik Beasley chipped in 21 points and six rebounds for the Timberwolves.

The Orlando Magic have won consecutive outings and trail Brooklyn by a half-game for seventh place in the Eastern Conference standings. On Wednesday, Orlando outscored Atlanta by ten points during the second half of a 130-120 road victory. The Magic (26-32) outrebounded the Hawks by a 61-51 margin and shot 49 percent from the field.

Evan Fournier led six Orlando players in double figures with 28 points on an 11-for-18 shooting performance. Aaron Gordon contributed 25 points and ten rebounds for the Magic.

Minnesota G D’Angelo Russell (rest) will not play in this contest and the team will be fined $25,000 under the league’s load management rules. The Timberwolves have been playing at a much faster pace as of late, so the over is worth a look. The stronger play is on Orlando to win and cover at home. Final Score Prediction, Orlando Magic win and cover ATS 124-112.
