The American Airlines Arena will play host to a Sunday evening NBA clash between the Minnesota Timberwolves and Miami Heat.
The Timberwolves have lost 13 of their 17 road games and are three games out of playoff contention in the Western Conference. On Friday, Minnesota fell behind by 15 points during the first quarter of a 123-120 overtime loss versus Atlanta. The Timberwolves were out rebounded by a 71-60 margin and shot 45 percent from the field.
Minnesota C Karl-Anthony Towns tallied a game high 31 points and pulled down 19 rebounds. Derrick Rose added 25 points and nine assists in a losing effort for the Timberwolves.
The Miami Heat have won six of their last seven games and are currently tied with Charlotte atop the Southeast Division standings. On Friday, Miami outscored visiting Cleveland by 20 points during the second half of a convincing 118-94 victory. The Heat turned the ball over just seven times and shot 53 percent overall.
Miami F Justise Winslow led all scorers with 24 points to go along with 11 rebounds and seven assists. Bam Adebayo contributed 18 points and nine rebounds in 30 minutes off the Heat bench.
