Northwest Division rivals will clash on Sunday afternoon, when the Oklahoma City Thunder and Portland Trail Blazers open up their first round series from the Moda Center. The sixth seeded Thunder won five straight games to close the regular season and were three games above .500 on the road. Paul George leads Oklahoma City in scoring at 28 points per game, while Russell Westbrook leads the team in rebounds and assists.

Last time out, Oklahoma City built a ten-point halftime lead and never looked back for a 127-116 road victory against Milwaukee. Russell Westbrook recorded his 34th triple-double of the season.
The Portland Trail Blazers finished the season on a three-game winning streak and managed to edge Houston out of the number three seed in the Western Conference. The Trail Blazers rank sixth in the league in scoring at 114.7 points per game and third in rebounding. All-Star Guard Damian Lillard leads Portland in scoring (25.8 ppg) and assists (6.9 apg).

In their last game, Portland overcame a 28-point deficit to score a 136-131 home victory versus Sacramento. Rookie Anfernee Simons scored a career-best 37 points for the Trail Blazers.

Oklahoma City F Paul George (right shoulder) is still considered day-to-day heading into this series.
