Thunder at Timberwolves 1/25/20 - NBA Picks & Predictions

Last Updated: 01/25/2020 at 12:04 PM ET

Target Center will play host to a Saturday night NBA meeting between the Oklahoma City Thunder and the Minnesota Timberwolves. The Thunder (27-19) are riding a four-game winning streak and are currently in seventh place in the Western Conference standings. Last night, Oklahoma City scored 33 points or more in each quarter of a 140-111 home victory versus Atlanta.

Danilo Gallinari led seven Oklahoma City players in double figures with 25 points and six rebounds. Dennis Schroder contributed 21 points and eight assists off the Thunder bench.

The Minnesota Timberwolves have lost eight straight games and will be forced to move in a different direction this offseason. Last night, Minnesota was unable to make the plays down the stretch of a 131-124 home loss versus Houston. The Timberwolves (15-30) outrebounded the Rockets by a 52-34 margin, but turned the ball over 17 times.

Minnesota F/C Karl-Anthony Towns tallied a team-high 30 points on 12-for-23 shooting and pulled down 12 rebounds. Andrew Wiggins added 28 points and five rebounds for the Timberwolves.

Oklahoma City C Steven Adams (ankle) did not play last night and could potentially suit up for this contest. These two teams rank in the middle of the pack in defensive efficiency, so the over is worth a look. The stronger play is on Oklahoma City to win on the road. Final Score Prediction, Oklahoma City Thunder win and cover ATS 119-112.
