Thunder at Pelicans 2/14/19 - NBA Picks & Predictions

In a nationally televised NBA on TNT Thursday night NBA matchup, the Oklahoma City Thunder will visit the New Orleans Pelicans.

The Thunder have won four straight games and are currently just one game behind Denver for second place in the Western Conference standings. On Tuesday, Oklahoma City built a 19-point halftime lead and cruised to a 120-111 home victory versus Portland. The Thunder scored 68 points in the first half and knocked down 16-for-35 from long range.

MVP candidate Paul George poured in a game high 47 points to go along with 12 rebounds and ten assists. Russell Westbrook contributed 21 points, 14 rebounds, and 11 assists for the Thunder.
The New Orleans Pelicans are expected to lose All-Star F Anthony Davis, who has requested to be traded, and are eight games below .500 overall. On Tuesday, New Orleans failed to show up at home during a 118-88 loss versus Orlando. The Pelicans were outscored by 22 points over the first 12 minutes and shot just 38 percent from the field overall.

New Orleans G E’Twaun Moore tallied a team high 19 points on an 8-for-13 shooting performance. Jrue Holiday added 16 points and six assists in a losing effort for the Cavaliers.

Oklahoma City G Dennis Schroder (personal) is listed as out for this contest. These two teams rank in the top six in tempo and are unlikely to be locked in defensively as they head into the All-Star Break. Take the over on Thursday.
