Thunder at Celtics 2/3/19 - NBA Picks & Predictions

A marquee NBA matchup will take place on Sunday afternoon, when the Oklahoma City Thunder visit TD Garden to face the Boston Celtics.

The Thunder have won seven straight games and are three games behind Denver for the top spot in the Western Conference standings. Last time out, Oklahoma City exploded for 72 points during the first half of a 118-102 road triumph over Miami. The Thunder connected on 16-for-30 from long distance and held a 15-point edge in fast break points.

Oklahoma City Paul George poured in a game high 43 points on a 14-for-23 shooting performance. Russell Westbrook contributed 14 points to go along with 14 assists and 12 rebounds. The Boston Celtics have won three straight games and have yet to assert themselves as the favorite to represent the Eastern Conference in the NBA Finals. On Friday, Boston built a nine-point halftime lead and cruised to a 113-99 road victory against New York. The Celtics turned the ball over just seven times and assisted on 25 of their 46 made field goals.

Boston G Kyrie Irving led all scorers with 23 points to go along with ten rebounds and six assists. Al Horford chipped in 14 points and nine rebounds for the Celtics.

Oklahoma City F Andre Roberson (left knee surgery) remains out and without a timetable to return. These two teams rank in the top three in defensive efficiency and that will help keep this game under the total. Final Score Prediction, Boston Celtics win in lower scoring under game 111-108.
