Team LeBron vs Team Steph 2/18/18 - NBA All-Star Game Picks & Predictions

The 67th NBA All-Star Game will take on a whole new format and will be on display Sunday night from Staples Center in Los Angeles. The traditional East-West format is gone and was replaced by a draft style process to select the teams. The NBA has made an effort to make the game more competitive by awarding $100,000 to players from the winning teams and $25,000 to the losing players.

Team Lebron will feature talented, versatile forwards Anthony Davis (27.1 ppg, 10.7 rpg) and Kevin Durant (25.5 ppg) in the starting lineup. Former teammate and Boston G Kyrie Irving (24.6 ppg) will run with LeBron in the first five. Kevin Love, Kristaps Porzingis, John Wall, and DeMarcus Cousins all were injured after being selected by James and were replaced by Paul George, Kemba Walker, Andre Drummond, and Goran Dragic. It is no surprise that sharpshooter Stephen Curry chose to draft plenty of three-point shooting threats on his roster. Houston G James Harden (31.4 ppg, 9 apg) is second to Curry in three-point field goals made per game and is the leading candidate to win the regular season MVP award. Milwaukee F Giannis Antetokounmpo (27.6 ppg 10.4 rpg) will make his second straight all-star start alongside, Toronto G DeMar DeRozan and Philadelphia C Joel Embiid.

Golden State G Klay Thompson, Portland G Damian Lillard, and Toronto G Kyle Lowry all rank in the top ten in three-point field goals made per game and will come off the bench for Team Steph. Curry’s Golden State teammate Draymond Green averages 7.3 assists from the forward spot and will be counted on to find open shooters.
