The Connecticut Sun (7-2) will be in the Pacific Northwest on Friday to play the Seattle Storm (7-3) in a clash between two first place teams in their respective conferences.

The Sun rallied from a 30-point deficit against the Washington Mystics, but eventually lost 95-91. The Sun trailed in the second quarter 57-27 before rallying by outscoring Washington 30-8 in the third quarter but came up short in the end and lost by four.

Seattle won its last outing 96-85 on Tuesday against the Chicago Sky. Breanna Stewart led the Storm with 30 points, to help the team rally to victory. The Storm outscored the Sky 31-12 in the final quarter to win by 11 points. Courtney Williams leads the Sun in scoring and is third in rebounding with averages of 14.6 points and 6.2 rebounds. Breanna Stewart leads the Storm in scoring and rebounding averaging 21.4 points and 7.5 rebounds per game. Jewell Loyd is the second leading scorer averaging 19.4 points per game. Natasha Howard is the third and final player averaging double figures in scoring at 14.0 points per game. Sue Bird leads the Storm in assists with an average of 6.0 per game. Seattle is scoring an average of 88.9 points per game.
