The Seattle Storm (5-2) look to bounce back from defeat when they visit the Los Angeles Sparks (4-1) the leader in the Western Conference.
Seattle was beaten by Dallas 94-90 on Saturday. Seattle trailed 53-36 at the half and cut that lead to just two points after three quarters, but the Wings held on with late free throws. Jewell Loyd the Seattle leading scorer was held to 16 points, which ended a streak of five straight games with 20 points or more.
The Sparks won their season straight game on Sunday defeating the Minnesota Lynx 77-69. Candace Parker led the Sparks with 19 points and 10 boards, while Chelsea Gray scored 15. Crystal Langhorne is questionable for Seattle with a rib injury while Maria Vadeeva is out indefinitely for the Sparks.
Breanna Stewart leads the Storm in scoring and rebounding with averages of 22.3 points and 8.6 rebounds per game. Jewell Loyd is the second leading scorer and third leading rebounder with average of 21.6 points and 5.1 rebounds per game. Natasha Howard is the only other player averaging double-figures in scoring at 13.4 point per game.
Nneka Ogwumike leads the Sparks in scoring and rebounding with averages of 18.6 points and 7.0 rebounds per game. Chelsea Gray is the second leading scorer and leader in assists with averages of 17.8 points and 7.0 assists per game. Two other players Odyssey Sims (16.8 ppg) and Candace Parker (14.5 ppg) are averaging double figures in scoring.
