The Monday NBA schedule wll tip-off with a matchup between the San Antonio Spurs and Detroit Pistons from Little Caesars Arena.
The Spurs have won four straight games and have moved into sixth place in the Western Conference standings. On Saturday, San Antonio built a 20-point halftime lead and cruised to a 108-88 home victory versus Memphis. The Spurs forced 21 turnovers and limited the Grizzlies to 38 percent from the field.
Derrick White led six San Antonio players in double figures with 19 points on 8-for-9 shooting. LaMarcus Aldridge chipped in 18 points and seven assists for the Spurs.
The Detroit Pistons have dropped seven of their previous ten games and are trying to stay in playoff contention for first year head coach Dwane Casey. On Saturday, Detroit was outscored by seven points during the fourth quarter of a 110-105 home loss versus Utah. The Pistons turned the ball over 18 times and shot 48 percent from the floor.
All five Detroit starters scored in double figures and were led by Blake Griffin with 34 points on 13-for-21 shooting. Andre Drummond added 15 points and 18 rebounds for the Pistons.
