Spurs at Nuggets 4/23/19 - NBA Playoffs Picks & Predictions

In Tuesday night NBA playoff action, the San Antonio Spurs will invade the Pepsi Center to take on the Denver Nuggets. On Saturday, San Antonio raced out to a 12 point lead after one quarter but were unable to finish the job during a 117-103 home loss. The Spurs outscored the Nuggets by 20 points in the paint and shot 47 percent from the field.

LaMarcus Aldridge led San Antonio with 24 points on 10-for-18 shooting and grabbed nine rebounds. DeMar DeRozan added 19 points and five assists in a losing effort for the Spurs. The second-seeded Denver Nuggets won 54 games during the regular season, but are still very inexperienced when it comes to the postseason. Needing a win in Game Four to even the series, the Nuggets outscored the Spurs by 12 points each in the second and third quarter to pull away. Denver connected on 15-for-31 from the three-point line and missed just two of their 24 free throw attempts.

All-Star C Nikola Jokic tallied a game high 29 points to go along with 12 rebounds and eight assists. Jamal Murray chipped in 24 points and six rebounds for the Nuggets.
