Last Updated: 08/08/2019 at 4:48 AM ET

The Tuesday NBA schedule will tip-off with a matchup between the San Antonio Spurs and Charlotte Hornets from the Spectrum Center.

The Spurs are nine games below .500 on the road and trail two teams by a half-game for sixth place in the West. On Sunday, San Antonio led by seven points at the break and never trailed during the second half of a 115-96 road victory against Boston. The Spurs won the battle on the boards by a 56-52 margin and limited the Celtics to 40 percent shooting.

San Antonio Forward LaMarcus Aldridge poured in a game high 48 points on a 20-for-31 shooting performance. DeMar DeRozan chipped in 16 points and 11 assists for the Spurs. The Charlotte Hornets have won three straight games and trail Miami by two full games in the race for the final playoff spot in the East. On Sunday, Jeremy Lamb banked in a half-court shot as time expired to lift Charlotte to a dramatic 115-114 road victory against Toronto. The Hornets connected on 18-for-41 from the three-point line on the night.

Dwayne Bacon led seven Charlotte players in double figures with 20 points on 7-for-14 shooting. Miles Bridges added 16 points and six rebounds for the Hornets.

Charlotte C Cody Zeller (knee) has been ruled out for this contest and G/F Nicolas Batum (illness) is being listed as questionable. These two squads rank in the bottom half of the league in defensive efficiency, but the coaching staffs are very familiar with each other. Take the under on Tuesday. Final Score Prediction, San Antonio Spurs win low scoring under game 108-105.
