Spurs at Cavaliers 4/7/19 - NBA Picks & Predictions

In Sunday afternoon NBA action, the San Antonio Spurs will visit Quicken Loans Arena to take on the Cleveland Cavaliers.

The Spurs have lost 25 of their 40 road games this season, but have managed to clinch a playoff spot in the West. On Friday, San Antonio built a 19-point halftime lead and cruised to a 129-112 road victory against Washington. The Spurs out rebounded the Wizards by eight and shot a sizzling 56 percent from the field.

All five San Antonio starters scored in double figures and were led by LaMarcus Aldridge with 24 points. DeMar DeRozan chipped in 16 points and five rebounds for the Spurs. The Cleveland Cavaliers have lost seven games in a row and own the third worst record in the league. On Thursday, Cleveland turned the ball over 22 times during a 117-104 road loss against Sacramento. The Cavaliers knocked down 11 of their 25 three-point attempts and shot 54 percent overall in defeat.

Jordan Clarkson tallied a team high 22 points on 9-for-13 shooting in 31 minutes off the Cleveland bench. Ante Zizic added 14 points and ten rebounds in a losing effort for the Cavaliers.

San Antonio G Marco Belinelli (sore left hip) did not play on Friday and is listed as questionable for this matchup. The Spurs rank 20th in defensive efficiency and the Cavaliers rank last in that category, so the over is worth a look. The stronger play is to grab the points with the home team. Final Score Prediction, San Antonio Spurs win but fall short ATS 113-110.
