The Chicago Sky visit the Seattle Storm on Friday in the Pacific Northwest for a WNBA showdown.
Chicago has started the season 2-1 winning its first two games, while losing its most recent on Wednesday 81-63 to the Atlanta Dream. Allie Quigley led the Sky in the loss with 13 points and was the sole player for Chicago that scored in double figures. Chicago shot 36.8% from the field.
Seattle is 1-1 after losing its opening game to the Phoenix Mercury but rebounding on Wednesday with an 87-71 win over the Phoenix Mercury in the second half of a home-home showdown. Jewell Loyd led the Storm with 29 points while Breanna Stewart scored nine points and grabbed 11 boards. The Storm led at the half by 13 points, but the lead was cut to five points at the start of the fourth quarter by the Mercury. However, the Storm rebounded to outscore the Mercury by 11 in the fourth quarter to win by 16.
Allie Quigley leads the Sky in scoring averaging 18.0 points per game. The only other Sky player averaging double figures in scoring is Diamond DeShields with an average of 11.0 points per game. Four players are averaging between 7.3 and 7.7 points per game. The leading rebounder is Cheyenne Parker with an average of 6.7 per game.
Jewell Loyd leads the Storm in scoring with an average of 19.5 points per game. Breanna Stewart is the second leading scorer and leader in rebounds with an average of 15.5 points and 13.0 rebounds per game. Sue Bird leads the Storm in assists with an average of 4.5 per game.
