San Antonio Spurs at Orlando Magic 4/12/21 - NBA Picks & Predictions

The San Antonio Spurs complete a back-to-back on Monday when visiting the Orlando Magic after playing on the road Sunday against the Dallas Mavericks. San Antonio’ struggles continued as the Spurs were defeated by the Denver Nuggets 121-119 on Friday. San Antonio has lost five straight and is 24-26. The Spurs are third in the Southwest Division 4 ½ games behind first-place Dallas.

DeMar DeRozan is the leading scorer and leader in assists for San Antonio with averages of 20.9 points and 7.1 assists per game, while Jakob Poeltl is the leading rebounder with an average of 8.0 rebounds per game.  Dejounte Murray is the second-leading scorer and one of seven players for San Antonio averaging double-figures in scoring. San Antonio is scoring an average of 110.4 points per game while allowing an average of 110.7 points per game.

The Orlando Magic will also complete a back to back on Monday when hosting San Antonio after playing at home on Sunday against the Milwaukee Bucks. Orlando is 17-35 following a 111-106 loss on Friday to the Indiana Pacers. Orlando has lost four straight and six of the last seven and the Magic are in last place in the Southeast Division.

Terrence Ross is the leading scorer for Orlando with an average of 16.4 points per game while Wendell Carter Jr. is the second leading scorer and leading rebounder with averages of 14.0 points and 8.6 rebounds per game. Michael Carter-Williams is the leader in assists with an average of 4.4 per game. Orlando is scoring an average of 104.6 points per game while allowing an average of 111.3 points per game.

Both San Antonio and Orlando have played very poorly of late, but San Antonio is in far better shape than Orlando. The Spurs are third in the Southwest Division and remain in contention for a playoff berth, while Orlando is last in the division and traded away its leading scorer and rebounder as well as its third and fourth leading scorers.
