San Antonio Spurs at New Orleans Pelicans 3/21/23 - NBA Picks & Predictions

In Tuesday night NBA action, the San Antonio Spurs will travel to the Smoothie King Center to take on the New Orleans Pelicans. The Spurs (19-52) have split their last ten games overall and have been eliminated from postseason contention. On Sunday, San Antonio outscored Atlanta by 30 points in the second half to pull off an improbable 126-118 home victory. 

San Antonio F Keldon Johnson tallied a game-high 29 points on 13-for-21 shooting and grabbed 13 rebounds. Devin Vassell matched his teammate with 29 points on 12-for-17 from the field. Zach Collins added 19 points and eight rebounds for the Spurs, who trailed 83-61 at halftime.

The New Orleans Pelicans have won 22 of their first 35 home games and trail three teams by a half-game for ninth place in the Western Conference standings. On Sunday, New Orleans raced out to a ten-point lead after one quarter and never looked back during a 117-107 road victory against Houston. The Pelicans (34-37) connected on 13-for-31 from long range and shot 49 percent overall.

C.J. McCollum and Brandon Ingram led five New Orleans players in double figures with 26 points apiece on a combined 21-for-42 shooting effort. Jonas Valanciunas contributed 21 points and 12 rebounds for the Pelicans, who led 64-44 at halftime.

New Orleans F Zion Williamson is recovering from a hamstring injury and will be re-evaluated later this month. The Pelicans have dominated the Spurs in recent meetings.
