San Antonio Spurs at Chicago Bulls 2/6/23 - NBA Picks & Predictions

The United Center will play host toa Monday night NBA clash between the San Antonio Spurs and the Chicago Bulls. The Spurs (14-39) are in the midst of an eight-game losing streak and are tanking in the hopes of drafting F Victor Wembanyama. On Friday, San Antonio was torched for 47 points during the second quarter of a 137-125 home loss versus Philadelphia. 

All five San Antonio starters scored in double figures and were led by Malaki Branham with 26 points. Keldon Johnson converted 8-for-8 from the free-throw line and finished with 18 points. Jakob Poeltl added 16 points, ten rebounds, and five assists for the Spurs.

The Chicago Bulls have won 15 of their first 26 home games and could become sellers at Thursday's NBA trade deadline. On Saturday, Chicago withstood a 40-point outburst from Portland G Damian Lillard during a 129-121 home victory. The Bulls (25-27) outscored the Trail Blazers 33-17 in the third period and shot a scorching 60 percent from the field.

Chicago G Zach LaVine tallied a team-high 36 points on 11-for-18 shooting and pulled down six boards. All-Star G/F DeMar DeRozan contributed 27 points, seven rebounds, and seven assists. Nikola Vucevic added 23 points and 11 rebounds for the Bulls.

Chicago G Alex Caruso (right foot sprain) did not play in Saturday’s victory and is listed as questionable for this contest.
