The Smoothie King Center will play host to a Monday night NBA clash between the Sacramento Kings and the New Orleans Pelicans. The Kings (22-31) are looking to snap a six-game losing streak and rank second worst in scoring defense (119.0 ppg). On Saturday, Sacramento was outscored by 22 points during the second half of a 128-112 road loss against Utah.

All five Sacramento starters scored in double figures and were led by De’Aaron Fox with 30 points. Richaun Holmes added 25 points and ten rebounds for the Kings.

The New Orleans Pelicans have won consecutive games and trail Golden State by one full game for tenth place in the Western Conference standings. Last night, New Orleans outscored Cleveland by 11 points during the fourth quarter of a 116-109 road victory. The Pelicans (24-29) outrebounded the Cavaliers by a 50-36 margin and shot 51 percent from the field.

All-Star F Zion Williamson poured in a game-high 38 points on 16-for-22 shooting and grabbed nine rebounds. Brandon Ingram contributed 27 points and eight assists for the Pelicans.

Sacramento F Marvin Bagley remains sidelined with a fractured hand and will be re-evaluated in the middle of this month. These two squads rank in the bottom three in defensive efficiency, so the over is worth a look. The stronger play is on New Orleans to win and cover at home. Final Score Prediction, New Orleans Pelicans win 122-113.
