Rockets at Hornets 3/7/20 - NBA Picks & Predictions

The Saturday NBA schedule will tip-off with a matinee between the Houston Rockets and the Charlotte Hornets from the Spectrum Center. The Rockets (39-22) have dropped consecutive games and are tied with Utah for fourth place in the Western Conference standings. On Thursday, Houston was dominated from start-to-finish during a 120-105 home loss versus the Los Angeles Clippers.

Houston G Russell Westbrook led all scorers with 29 points to go along with 15 rebounds and five assists. Jeff Green added 17 points in 20 minutes off the bench for the Rockets.

The Charlotte Hornets started the season by exceeding expectations, but have fallen 20 games below .500 overall and six games out of playoff contention. On Thursday, Charlotte was unable to protect an eight-point fourth quarter lead and went on to lose to visiting Denver by a 114-112 final score. The Hornets (42-20) assisted on 24 of their 38 made field goals and shot 49 percent from the field.

Charlotte G Devonte’ Graham tallied a game-high 24 points on 8-for-15 shooting and dished out seven assists. Rookie P.J. Washington added 20 points and six rebounds for the Hornets.

Houston G Russell Westbrook (rest) and G Eric Gordon (Knee) will both not play in this game. Even without two of their top scorers, the Rockets will have no problem winning on the road.
