Last Updated: 08/08/2019 at 4:50 AM ET

The Friday NBA schedule will tip-off with a matchup between the Toronto Raptors and Charlotte Hornets from the Spectrum Center.

The Raptors have won five straight games and will finish no worse than second in the East heading into the postseason. On Wednesday, Toronto raced out to a 12-point lead after one quarter and cruised to a 115-105 road victory against Brooklyn. The Raptors assisted on 29 of their 44 made field goals and turned the ball over just seven times.

Toronto F Pascal Siakam led all scorers with 28 points to go along with ten rebounds and five assists. Kawhi Leonard contributed 26 points and nine rebounds for the Raptors. The Charlotte Hornets have split their previous ten games and are likely to come up short of reaching the postseason. On Wednesday, Charlotte snapped a three-game losing streak with a 115-109 road victory against New Orleans. The Hornets converted 27 of their 32 free-throw attempts and shot 42 percent from the field.

All-Star G Kemba Walker scored 21 of his game high 32 points over the final ten minutes. Frank Kaminsky chipped in 21 points and six rebounds in 28 minutes off the Charlotte bench.

Charlotte C Cody Zeller (left knee soreness) and F Marvin Williams (strained right foot) will not play. The Raptors rank sixth in offensive efficiency and the Hornets rank 22nd in defensive efficiency, so I like Toronto to win. The stronger play is on the over. Final Score Prediction, Toronto Raptors win high scoring over game 118-111.
