Raptors at Celtics 10/25/19 - NBA Picks & Predictions

Last Updated: 10/24/2019 at 10:27 PM ET

The Friday night NBA schedule will tip-off with a matchup between the Toronto Raptors and the Boston Celtics from TD Garden. The defending World Champion Raptors are looking to defend their title after losing starters Kawhi Leonard and Danny Green in free agency. On Tuesday, Toronto limited New Orleans to just five points during the overtime period of a 130-122 home victory.

Pascal Siakam and Fred VanVleet led all scorers with 34 points apiece on a 23-for-44 combined shooting effort. Kyle Lowry contributed 22 points and six assists for the Raptors.

The Boston Celtics were unable to resign Kyrie Irving and Al Horford in free agency, but still have plenty of talent for head coach Brad Stevens to work with. The Celtics hope that All-Star G Kemba Walker will be the centerpiece of a more team oriented approach. On Wednesday, Boston was dominated on the glass by 21 during a 107-93 road loss against Philadelphia.

Gordon Hayward led four Boston players in double figures with 25 points on 8-for-15 from the field. Kemba Walker missed 14 of his 18 shots and finished with a disappointing 12 points in his team debut.

Boston C Enes Kanter is dealing with a left knee bruise and will not play in this contest. After being embarrassed on the glass, look for the Celtics to put forth a much more inspired effort at home. Final Score Prediction, Boston Celtics win and cover ATS 112-105.
