Portland Trail Blazers at Washington Wizards 1/15/22 - NBA Picks & Predictions

In Saturday night NBA action, the Portland Trail Blazers will travel to the nation’s capital to take on the Washington Wizards. The Trail Blazers (16-25) have dropped 14 of their first 16 road games and are clinging to tenth place in the Western Conference standings. On Thursday, Portland trailed by 13 points after one quarter and could never recover during an ugly 140-108 road loss against Denver.

All five Portland starters scored in double figures and were led by Ben McLemore with 18 points. Dennis Smith Jr. added 17 points and eight assists for the Trail Blazers. 

The Washington Wizards have won three straight games and are tied with Toronto for eighth place in the Eastern Conference standings. On Wednesday, Washington led by 17 points after one quarter and held on late for a 112-106 home victory versus Orlando. The Wizards (22-20) assisted on 26 of their 43 made field goals and shot 52 percent overall.

Washington F Kyle Kuzma matched a game-high with 19 points to go along with ten rebounds and nine assists. Montrezl Harrell contributed 16 points and eight rebounds off the bench for the Wizards.
